    IEEE APPEEC 2019

    11th IEEE PES Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference

    The 11th IEEE PES Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference 2019 (APPEEC) was held at The Parisian Macao, Cotai Central, Macao, China on 1st-4th December 2019. The aim of the conference is to provide a premier platform for electrical engineers and researchers to present their works and to share experiences and ideas in power and energy engineering with experts and scholars from around the world. Started in Wuhan in 2009, APPEEC is now an annual power engineering conference organized in Asia-Pacific Region.

    Papers that are accepted and presented at the conference will be submitted to IEEE Xplore ISBN 978-1-7281-0813-1 (subject to the approval of the IEEE Technical Program Committee) and indexed in Ei Compendex and SCOPUS.

  • Dr. Man-Chung Wong, as North Representative of IEEE Region 10 PES and Chair of IEEE Macao PES Chapter and Dr. Chi-Seng Lam had participated in the Region 10 PES Chapter Chairs Meeting in Melbourne, Australia in November 28, 2016. The IEEE PES Executive Director, Patrick Ryan and IEEE PES VP for Chapters, Frank C. Lambert also joined the meeting and introduced the IEEE PES, functionalities of IEEE PES Executive Office, PES Chapters, etc.. And this R10 PES Chapter Chairs meeting is organized and hosted by Prof. Lalit Goel, the IEEE PES Region 10 Representative.

  •     In 16/10/2015, there was a sharing workshop, “Facilities Management in University of Macau New Campus”, organized by Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) of IEEE Macau, Power and Energy Society & Power Electronics Society (PES/PELS) Joint Chapter. The organizer was honored to invite one senior engineer from University of Macau as the guest, Mr. Ka-Ip Leong, E & M Senior Engineer, Functional Head of E & M Facilities, Facility Operations and Maintenance Section, Univresity of Macau, to introduce and share his experiences about the E&M systems in Macau, especially for campus electrical facilities, including power distribution system, air-conditioning system and power quality compensation system etc.

  •     In 10/10/2014, there was a sharing workshop, “Introduction to E&M Systems in Macau”, organized by Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) of IEEE Macau, Power and Energy Society & Power Electronics Society (PES/PELS) Joint Chapter. The organizer was honored to invite one senior engineer from University of Macau as the guest speaker, Mr. Tai Sio Un, Senior Administrative Officer of Campus Development Office, to introduce and share his experiences about the E&M systems in Macau, especially for campus electrical facilities, including power distribution system, air-conditioning system and power quality compensation system etc.

  •     The IEEE Macau Section formed Women in Engineering Affinity group in 2014. It will support to organize a workshop in TENCON 2015 and organize a talk for local members to promote WIE in the coming year.
